1950
The building was built in 1950, in difficult and post-war times. Like any building, it was primarily used for ideological purposes.
Later, this building became the cultural center of the area. There were a lot of clubs, various activities for children and young people. In the nineties, various churches gathered here. After many years, this building was emptied and it stood closed.
2018
For many years we have been looking for a House for our church and praying. We looked at many options and nothing seemed to fit. In 2018, we heard that a house in a great location was for sale. In early 2020, the asking price for this home was $800,000. Then came the lockdown and that helped bring the price down to $350,000. Although the price was attractive and the building is large and in a good location, we doubted whether we could pull off the size and renovate it, as the investment was a lot. But God was persistent and we realized that it was His idea, not ours.
With this belief, we began the buying process! Two months before the operation, we were $200,000 short. But God opened the heavens, and finances began to pour in from all sides. People from different countries, near and far, familiar and not, sent money and wholeheartedly participated in God’s project! Several times God multiplied finances and at the time of the deal we had more money than we needed!
Thus, on October 1, 2020, an agreement was reached and this building became the property of the DHC
We bought the house abandoned and without heating. The basement is flooded and the roof is leaking.
The building is more than 70 years old, so it needs major repairs.

We bought the house abandoned and without heating, the basement is flooded and the roof is leaking. The building is more than seventy years old, so it needs major repairs. To date, we have cosmetically repaired it in order to use it and it meets our needs.
We have big plans, because the size of the building is two thousand three hundred square meters. We plan to repair and develop all its parts in stages, but our priority is the children’s and youth area, a new roof and new additional toilets. We also want to ennoble the area around this entire building, revive the park so that it brings joy to the people who live here.

The story of this building is a story of redemption. Earlier this building served communist ideas, but today this building and this land is God’s Kingdom. If you are a builder or if you are a giver, we need you. Respond, help us revive this house. Thank you very much for your prayer, thank you very much for giving, for all the help.
